Friday, February 22, 2008 | ugc

The 3 key questions that I would ask before investing in a private company are as follows.Who are the key management team members and their experience?

What is your product/service and what is the key points of your business plan?

How will investors be compensated for their investment?

Other questions that I would ask are as follows.

Is your business a corporation or partnership. Who is your competition? What makes your product unique or better than the competitions's? How will you communicate your progress to your investors and how often?

Thank you very much for polling readers and agreeing to share thoughts on how to invest in private companies.
